“Canadian Idiot” é uma música de 2006 de “Weird Al” Yankovic. É uma paródia de “American Idiot” da banda americana Green Day. A música é basicamente uma paródia sarcástica da visão estereotipada dos americanos sobre o estilo de vida canadense. O cara faz piada com o sotaque canadense, a paixão por hockey. E no fim, diz que os canadenses estão “up to something”. Uma expressão que, nesse contexto, tem duplo sentido: eles estão ao norte, mas tramando alguma coisa. No final ele recomenda um ataque preventivo.

O mais interessante é que várias coisas que ele debocha, são justamente coisas que mais apreciamos…
